The painting is AMAZING!”

The Client contacted us stating that they had recently moved home and that their walls were in desperate need of an injection of colour! They had been inspired by our artwork and in particular thought that a piece entitled “Cancelli Dell'Inferno” had all the attributes they were looking for - except size! They asked if it would be possible to commission a piece similar in style & colour but in the dimensions best suited to be hung in their stylish new dining room.

Al requested the Client send over some photos and dimensions of the room in question and it was soon agreed that a 90 x 120 cm canvas would work well and initial digital designs were sent over. From the photos provided, Al was also able to incorporate some of the colours already featured in the room - such as the copper tones within the exquisite marble table top and the amber of the elegant light fixtures.

Initial digital designs with visual interpretation of how each piece would look on the wall -

Although digitally created designs such as those above cannot be perfectly reproduced in an original painting, they provide both Client and Artist a valuable, visual representation with which to establish a basis for the overall composition. In this case, the Client favoured the fiery elements of the third design but suggested adding some darker reds into the mix, feeling that this would enhance definition and better complement the surrounding space.

Once Al had provided some updated designs and the Client had given the green light to proceed, painting began…

As with all commissions, Al provided progress photos and updates whilst taking on board the Clients suggestions and feedback as the piece took shape. Constant communication between Client and Artist is essential to ensure the final artwork is as close to their original concept or, as was the case in this instance, exceeds their expectations! The Client was very happy with the finished piece!

Client Response:

“The painting is AMAZING! Thank you so much! I am pondering what to put on another wall so I may well be back in touch soon!”
